The Challenge
Design teams faced significant challenges in:
Adapting interface components to a very reduced screen size while maintaining legibility and clear tap targets
for workers using the scanner all day.
Designing controls and interaction patterns specifically for the primary users—warehouse operators, mainly men
with large hands—who require generous touch areas and simplified navigation to avoid errors during fast operations.
Ensuring the handheld app synchronized reliably with the SaaS system so that physical scans immediately
updated digital inventory records across locations.
